David Williams IFA, our staff and our clients are all part of a wider community. As a long-established business within Northampton, we recognise the importance of supporting local causes with both time and resources.

Our recent work includes:

Ride for Hope 2024

Teams from David Williams IFA have participated in the Ride for Hope over a number of years. These long-distance cycling challenges raise money to support the vital work of the Northampton Hope Centre.

For the 2024 event, which took place in October, a record team of 16 DWIFA staff and clients rode from Northampton to Paris over four days – more than 320 miles in the saddle. All made it to Paris, just about in one piece. The team raised more than £16,000.

SportsAid

We are long-standing supporters of the SportsAid charity which helps provide funding to young athletes across Britain to help in their goal of being future Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth champions. The money goes to promising young athletes, typically aged 12-18, to help them balance the demands of training and competition with their education. Athletes who have been supported by SportsAid won a record 53 medals for Team GB at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Annual Charity Golf Days

David Williams IFA runs a charity golf day each year, when clients join us to raise funds for nominated local charities. David Williams IFA covere all costs of the event meaning that the generous donations made by clients and other sponsors can all be used to help good causes. More than £125,000 has been raised through these days over the years. The 2024 event, held in early September raised just over £13,000 in support of two very worthy causes: Northampton Hope Centre and Thomas’s Fund.

Northampton Rotary Becket

David Williams IFA was the first Corporate member of the Rotary Club of Northampton Becket (known locally as Rotary Becket). Three of the company’s staff attend the weekly meetings in turn and then come back to energise their colleagues at David Williams IFA to support particular projects or events. These benefit local charities and groups but also support the work of Rotary around the world.
