Working in harmony for your future
Every advice firm has their own unique way of doing business. The most successful relationships flourish when the financial planner and their clients share common values and goals, and work in harmony with each other.
Our core values
We want you to enjoy high-quality financial planning from an adviser you trust implicitly.
We will communicate clearly and openly with you so that you understand the implications of the decisions you are being asked to make and the service you can expect from us.
We strive to maintain and reinforce our position among the elite of Britain’s financial advice firms. This means we are committed to our Chartered status, to the highest standards of service and advice and to continuing to learn and to develop both as individuals and as a business.
The way we work
- We look to create long term relationships with clients, based on mutual trust and openness.
- Our aim is to offer holistic advice, taking in all aspects of your financial affairs to produce a complete picture of how your money is working for you.
- We go beyond the obvious, meaning you can benefit from insightful and penetrating analysis of your financial circumstances.
- We reinforce this approach through pro-active planning and regular reviews. This ensures strategies stay current as markets, products and legislation evolves.
Our approach to investment
Operating as a truly independent adviser, we are not constrained or blinkered by any preconceptions about what investments are right for you. We consult with each client to understand their aims, concerns and preferences. Client portfolios will typically contain a wide range of investments, potentially including structured investments and with-profits plans, alongside conventional equity, bond and property funds.
Portfolios for the majority of clients are constructed to deliver returns that outperform cash over time, but with a lower volatility than pure stock market investments. The overall aim is to keep your money growing well during the good years, but with a reduced chance of big setbacks in years when stock or bond markets perform badly.
Our process of regular review meetings ensures that your portfolio remains appropriate in the light of changing markets, new legislation and fresh investment opportunities. Crucially, these reviews also help us to reshape your investment mix as your own circumstances evolve, responding to new priorities or to changes in lifestyle.
Risk warning: Your investment may fall as well as rise, you may not get back what you put in.
Caring for clients
Very rarely things can go wrong. In the rare event that a client is dissatisfied with a recommendation we will undertake every effort to resolve the issue. We treat any complaint very seriously. Where a client is still unhappy, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is an agency for arbitrating on unresolved complaints between regulated financial firms and their clients.
Full details of the FOS can be found on its website at www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk
